Buying from Louella
Returns & refunds
Your rights when buying an existing original artwork online, and how to ask for help.

Changing your mind about an existing original
For an existing original bought online, you can cancel from ordering until 14 days after the day you receive it, without giving a reason. A one-of-one artwork is not automatically a personalised commission.
Tell us clearly that you wish to cancel by emailing dave@davecooper.dev or using the contact form. Include your name and order number if available. You do not need permission or a particular form to exercise your right to cancel.
You then have another 14 days to send the artwork back. We pay the return postage for a change-of-mind cancellation. Contact us to arrange safe return delivery and keep evidence of posting; arranging delivery does not require permission to cancel.
Louella will arrange prepaid return delivery or reimburse your return postage. Contact her to agree the practical arrangements.
The return address is Louella Busby, Homelea, Bow Street, TA10 9PQ.
Refunds after cancellation
A cancellation refund includes the artwork price and standard outward delivery. Any extra cost of a delivery upgrade is excluded. Refunds use the same payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, with no refund fee.
Refunds are due without undue delay and within 14 days of cancellation notification. For returned goods, reimbursement may be withheld until the artwork is received back or you provide evidence of sending it back, whichever happens first.
You may inspect the artwork as you would in a shop. A lawful deduction may apply for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, where the required cancellation information was provided. Original packaging is helpful for safe transport but is not a condition of cancellation.
Damage, faults or an incorrect description
Contact us if your artwork arrives damaged, is faulty or is not as described. Explain the problem and include your order number if you have it. Photos and packaging can help investigate damage, but there is no short reporting deadline that removes your statutory rights.
These rights are separate from changing your mind. The Consumer Rights Act includes a short-term right to reject faulty goods, normally within 30 days, and further remedies after that period. Appropriate remedies depend on the circumstances; we will not treat a fault as a change-of-mind return.
Bespoke commissions
A genuinely personalised or made-to-specification commission may have different change-of-mind cancellation rights. Its proposal must explain the applicable arrangements before you agree. An enquiry alone does not place an order, and faulty or misdescribed goods rights still apply. This page does not impose a blanket cancellation exclusion on all art.
